Anita Twarowska, born and raised in Bialystok, Poland, is a freelance actress, performer and dance teacher based in Berlin and Potsdam.
She studied at the State Film School in Lodz. After graduation she moved to Germany, where she worked
as a guest at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam and at the theaters Meiningen and Eisenach. She was also working in front of the camera for different short and full lengthTV productions.
Between 1992 and 2001 she trained standard and Latin ballroom dance and achieved the A-class. She has successfully participated in numerous polish and international tournaments.
While studying acting, she participated in a butoh dance workshop with Naoko Maeshiba, which sparked her interest in other dance styles. Since 2007, she is continuing to develop individually in the field of contemporary dance. From 2016 to 2017 she was a student of the Dance Intensive Program at the Tanzfabrik Berlin.
In 2014, she completed further education as a dance and movement pedagogue and since then has been also active in the field of dance education.
Since 2015 she has additionally been working as a seminar actress in the field of training and coaching.
While developing her own artistic works, she is integrating her experience and knowledge from acting, dance and communication methods into her own performative practise. Deep need of understanding the body - as it is a performer's instrument, achieving the state of presence and authenticity and exploring relationships are
the main focus.
